The Breakdown

Coach Bob Chesney was talking about Muhammad Ali a lot within the locker room the week following this video, something that I found out as I’d combed through footage of his speeches as well as the press conferences.

The backtrack for this song was intentionally pulled from the Creed soundtrack. I looked through sequences from the movies to help inspire some of my action sequences.

While I wasn’t super familiar with Roosavelt’s “Citizenship in a Republic” speech at the time, I felt particularly inspired by the idea of the “Man in the Arena,”

I knew I wanted a VoiceOver, and the speech felt striking and dramatic to me so I decided it was exactly what would pull the video together.
